Advanced Camera Features

Hive Studio Advanced Camera Features

To edit a camera’s advanced features, go to the sources tray on the left hand side of the screen and click the cog icon next to the camera any camera you would like to adjust.

The advanced settings window has three tabs; the Video tab, Make and Model tab, and Controls tab.

Video Tab Adjustable Features

  • Switch Video protocol: RTSP to NDI.

  • Choose your NDI bandwidth mode: Low or High

  • Toggle NDI Frame Sync Mode: On or Off.

  • Select the Frame Rate: 60/1, 50/1, 30/1.

  • Choose your EncoderProfile: Low, Medium, High, or Very High

  • Toggle Horizontal Image Flip: On or Off

  • Toggle Vertical Image Flip: On or Off

  • Choose Image Orientation: Off, Flip, Mirror, or Flip+Mirror

  • Toggle Auto Invert: On or Off

  • HDMI/SDI Output: HDMI or SDI

  • Select the Refresh Rate: 60 Hz, 50 Hz, or Dial

  • Select the Encode Profile: Main or High

  • Adjust the NDI format: Off, Ultra, High, Medium, Low, NDI HX3 H264 1080p:50fps, NDI HX3 H264 1080p:60fps, NDI HX3 H265 1080p:50fps, NDI HX3 H265 1080p:60fps

  • Toggle Multicast ON or OFF

  • Adjust the individual streams of the camera (This will vary depending on the camera model. For example, a 20X Move SE camera has Stream 1 and Stream 2)

Stream 1

  • Adjust the Encoding H264, H265, MJEPG

  • Adjust the Resolution 3840x2160, 1920x1080, 1280x720, 720x480, 720x408, 640x480, 640x360

  • Adjust the Frame Rate 1-60

  • Adjust the Bitrate 32-102400 kbps

  • Bitrate Control Constant or VBR

  • Adjust the I keyframe interval 1-1200

  • Toggle on or off RTSP Authenticate On or Off

Stream 2

  • Adjust the Encoding H264, H265, MJEPG

  • Adjust the Resolution 720x480, 720x408, 640x480, 640x360, 480x320, 320x240

  • Adjust the Frame Rate 1-60

  • Adjust the Bitrate 32-102400 kbps

  • Bitrate Control CBR or VBR

  • Adjust the I keyframe interval 1-1200

  • Toggle on or off RTSP Authenticate On or Off

Make and Model Tab

The Make and Model tab allows you to make changes to the make and model of the selected camera if need be. You can also switch the camera brand, model, and even nickname your camera from this tab.

Control Tab

Adjust the connection type: Options include HTTP, Visca over IP and No Control.

Here you can edit your cameras IP address, test out the control using the PTZ control preview area, and select your Net Protocol. For PTZOptics Cameras, this can be TCP or UDP.

You also can select your port number and select between extended and standard visca headers.
