Hive Studio Setup

The Hive App

After creating your studio, download and install the Hive App. The Hive App is essentially the operating system for the Hive, allowing it to control your cameras and adjust their settings.

Most G3 PTZOptics cameras are “Hive-Linked” with the latest firmware and can connect to Hive instantly. PTZ cameras from other brands can connect to Hive using a free Hive App. The App is available for Mac or PCs which connects your studio to the local area network (LAN) allowing you to automatically discover cameras from AIDA, Aver, Bird-Dog, Bolin, Datavideo, JVC, Lumens, Marshall, NewTek, SONY, Winsafe and more.

If you do not already have the Hive App installed on your computer, you will be prompted to “Link” your Hive App upon opening Hive Studio.

Follow the simple on-screen instructions and restart the Hive Studio. You will now have access to all Hive Studio’s features, depending on the version you are subscribed to.

Studios

You can log in to Hive at Hive.PTZOptics.com. You will be prompted to create your first Studio. To get started, you can connect cameras using the Hive App OR connect your PTZOptics Hive-Linked cameras directly to the studio without the App.
