How to Operate Auto Tracking on the PTZOptics Move SE
See the Move SE Autotracking Reference Guide for what each setting does.
Accessing Auto Tracking Settings
- Web UI
- Remote Control
Step 1: Open the Web Interface
Start by opening the camera's web interface in your browser. Type the camera's IP address into the address bar and navigate to it. You'll be presented with a login screen — enter your credentials to proceed to the main dashboard.
If you need help locating your camera's IP address, refer to your camera's network setup documentation:
Step 2: Navigate to the Control Tab
Once logged in, you'll see the main dashboard with a video preview at the top. Directly below the video preview are three tabs: Speed, Image, and Control. Click on the Control tab.
Step 3: Select the Automation Tab
Within the Control tab, you'll find three sub-tabs: Automation, Mode, and Ports. Select the Automation tab to access the auto tracking settings.
Step 4: Configure Your Settings
Automation Mode
At the very top of the Automation tab, you'll see an Automation toggle for switching between Off, Auto Framing, and Auto Tracking.
Time Delay
Below the automation mode toggle, you can enable or disable Time Delay and set a specific delay time before tracking turns on.
Tracking Start Location
Set where the camera should be positioned when auto tracking begins.
Tracking Stop Location
Define where the camera should move when tracking stops.
Target Loss Timeout
Set how long the camera waits before giving up on a lost target, and which preset it moves to when that happens.
For what each of these options actually does, see the Reference Guide linked above.
Step 5: Apply Your Changes
After adjusting any of these settings, click Apply for the changes to take effect.
Using the Remote Control
You can toggle auto tracking on and off using the remote control's F keys:
- F1 – Enable video-based auto framing
- F2 – Enable audio-based auto tracking
- F3 – Enable video-based auto tracking
- F4 – Disable auto tracking
The F1 and F2 remote keys are not currently functional.
