New Features
HIVE Linked Integration
- HIVE Linked Enabled: The camera now includes HIVE Linked, allowing users to connect directly to the PTZOptics HIVE platform. This integration unlocks powerful remote management, monitoring, and collaboration capabilities, providing users with centralized access to camera control, status monitoring, and multi-location coordination through the cloud. Video Configuration
- Stream 3 Definition Added to Web UI Users can now define Stream 3 (Low Bandwidth PTZ video feed) directly in the Web UI under Audio & Video settings.
Bug Fixes
-
NDI Low Bandwidth Mode – Reference Stream Resolved an issue where NDI Low Bandwidth Mode did not function properly on the Reference Stream.
-
NDI Audio Transport Fixed an issue where audio was not being transported over the NDI stream.
-
Reference Lens Settings Persistence Corrected a problem where Image, Exposure, and Color settings on the Reference Lens reverted to default on reboot. These settings now persist correctly.
-
Independent Saturation Control Fixed an issue where adjusting Saturation on the Reference View also changed the PTZ Lens saturation. Both are now independently controlled.
-
Preset Naming Behavior Updated The Set button now saves both the preset location and the preset name. Previously, naming required an additional workaround.
-
TCP Default Port Correction The default TCP port now correctly initializes to 5678 instead of 1259.
-
Target Lost Action – Incorrect Preset Behavior Fixed an issue where the camera failed to call Preset 0 (Stage Preset) after the target-lost timeout and instead stayed in place. Additionally, when “Stay in Place” was selected, the camera incorrectly called Preset 2. These form selections were reversed; they now match the intended behavior.
-
Zoom While Tracking – Default Behavior Updated Zoom While Tracking is now enabled by default to improve auto-tracking responsiveness and subject framing.
-
Preset Control Character Input Bug Resolved an issue where the Preset Control text field on the main Dashboard allowed non-numeric characters. The field now strictly accepts numeric input only.
-
Tracking Outside Reference View – Incorrect Behavior Resolved Corrected an issue where tracking behavior was inconsistent when no Reference Area was defined:
- With Zoom While Tracking Off and Track Outside Ref. View Off, tracking should stop when the subject exits the Reference lens’ field of view.
- With Zoom While Tracking On and Track Outside Ref. View Off, the camera incorrectly continued tracking outside the Reference View. This has now been fixed so behavior is consistent.
-
Device ID / NDI Local Device Name Synchronization Resolved an issue where changing the NDI Local Device Name (e.g., from ptzoptics to ST3-Test-1) did not persist after a reboot, while changes made to the Device ID under the Device Info tab did apply correctly. Both fields now function together—updating either the NDI Local Device Name or the Device ID will correctly update both name fields and persist through reboot.
-
Incorrect Password Creation Prompt After Reboot - Fixed an issue where rebooting the camera from the Web UI caused the page to reload with an unexpected password creation prompt.
Known Issues
-
RTMP Stream 2 & 3 Green Screen Issue If a green screen appears when using Stream 2 or 3, switch back to Stream 1 before selecting the desired stream.
-
VAR Setting Reversion on Reboot (PTZ & Reference Lens) VAR-based settings revert to 3200K after reboot. The slider will not update to reflect this, even though the actual color temperature resets.
-
Hive Linked Browser Error The first time Hive Linked is selected in the side menu, a browser error may appear. Switching tabs and reselecting Hive resolves the issue.
-
Tracking Disabled When Camera Is Inverted Tracking does not function when the camera is mounted upside-down.
-
Digital Zoom Field Not Populated by Default The Digital Zoom field does not populate Off by default and appears blank on initial load.
-
Mislabeled “Target Lost Action” Field - The Target Lost Action field is incorrectly titled. This field actually refers to both the camera’s Startup Action and Target Lost Action, and will be updated in a future release to accurately reflect both functions.
-
H.265 Encoding Behavior Across Streams: When selecting H.265 on Stream 2 or Stream 3, the PTZ Output Stream must also be set to H.265 for the codec to function across all streams.
