Dashboard

The Dashboard provides a live view of the camera's video feed, pan-tilt-zoom control options, and a navigation bar on the left side for adjusting other settings.

Upon opening the Web UI, the dashboard will be set to Basic View. This is view sends the video feed from the camera's main lens to the Web UI and houses the camera controls.

To learn about the Color View and Studio View you can jump to their respective sections.

Camera Controls

The Generation 3 Web UI camera controls can be found on the right-hand side of the screen as shown in the image below.

Control Options

Home Button

Located in the center of the camera movement wheel, pressing the home button will return the camera to the startup position.

Pan Tilt Controls

Click on the arrow keys to move the camera in the desired direction. These controls now allow for diagonal movements.

Cursor Modes

To the immediate left of the display, there are four buttons.

  • Crosshair Button: Changes the mouse cursor into a crosshair. Point and click anywhere within the display to move the camera to that location.
  • Frame Button: Changes mouse cursor into a box. Click and drag the box to highlight an area. The camera will then move and zoom the to frame the highlighted area.
  • Drag Button: Changes the mouse cursor into a dot. Clicking and dragging the dot will move the camera in the desired direction indicated by an arrow. The shorter the arrow's length, the slower the camera will move in that direction. The longer the arrow's length, the faster the camera will move in the desired direction.
  • Info Icon: Clicking the info icon will provide a further explanation for each of the other three cursor modes.

Zoom Slider

Beside the camera movement wheel, the zoom slider can be dragged in either direction to zoom the camera in or out.

Focus Slider

Beside the zoom slider, the focus slider controls the camera's focus level. Moving the slider while the camera is in auto-focus mode, will disable auto-focus mode, switching it into manual focus mode.

Auto-Focus Toggle

The auto-focus toggle is located under the quick speed slider, and toggles auto-focus On and Off.

Snap Focus

The Snap Focus button sits beneath the focus slider. Pressing the "Snap Focus" button will quickly bring the camera into focus while maintaining manual focus mode.

Pan Tilt Zoom Speed Control

Beneath the camera movement wheel is the speed slider. There are four quick preset speeds to choose from, with the range going from slowest settings, indicated by the tortoise, to the fastest settings, indicated by the hare.

To further customize the pan-tilt-zoom speed settings, click the cog wheel beside the slider to bring up the menu shown below.

As shown, this window allows you to fine-tune the individual speeds for pan, tilt, zoom, and focus.

Furthermore, the template speeds on the main control screen can be customized from this window.

Full Screen:

The expand window button in the bottom right-hand corner of the display provides a full-screen look at the video feed.
