Firmware Management

Fleet Manager provides a built-in firmware management tool that allows you to update PTZOptics cameras directly from the application, no need to access each camera individually. Updates can be applied automatically from PTZOptics servers or pushed manually using a local firmware file.

To open the firmware management dialog, click the Firmware Update button (document with arrow icon) in the top-right toolbar.

Latest Firmware

The Latest Firmware tab queries PTZOptics servers for the most recent available firmware version for each connected device. If updates are available for one or more cameras, they will be listed here for selection. Choose which devices to update and initiate the process directly from this panel.

If all connected devices are already running the latest available firmware, the dialog will display "No Updates Available."

Upload Firmware

The Upload Firmware tab allows you to manually push a specific firmware file from your local machine to one or more cameras. This is useful in environments without internet access or when targeting a particular firmware version rather than the latest release.

  1. Click "Click here to choose file" to browse your local system and select a firmware file.
  2. Select the cameras you wish to update from the device list.
  3. Confirm and apply the update.
caution

Do not power off any cameras or close Fleet Manager while a firmware update is in progress. Interrupting an update may result in an incomplete firmware installation on the affected device.
