Automation Tab
This menu lets you control the camera's Auto-Tracking and Auto-Framing settings.
From here, you can set your Tracking Zone (The Stage), Blocking Zones (Areas you do not want the camera to track within), and Preset Zones (Areas that can send trigger signals or cause certain actions upon entering or exiting them.)
By default, this menu provides a live view from the main camera lens as well as a live view from the reference lens. This can be adjusted using the Video Feed Selection toggle, allowing you to choose a standalone view of the main camera lens or a standalone view of the reference lens.
Tracking Zone: This button assigns the main area where you want the camera to track, indicated by a green box. Click the Tracking Zone button, then click and drag your cursor within the Reference View to assign your tracking zone.
- Clicking on the tracking zone rectangle will change its color from green to yellow. You can click and drag the box to adjust it or hit the delete key to delete it and start again.
Blocking Zones: This button assigns blocking zones; areas where you do not want the camera to track, indicated by a red box. Click the Blocking Zone button, then click and drag your cursor within the Reference View to assign your blocking zones.
- You can assign up to 8 Blocking Zones.
- Clicking on a blocking zone rectangle will change its color from red to yellow. You can click and drag the box to adjust it or hit the delete key to delete it and start again.
Preset Zones: This button assigns preset zones; areas where you want the camera to perform an action upon entering or exiting, indicated by a blue box. Click the Preset Zone button, then click and drag your cursor within the Reference View to assign your blocking zones.
- You can assign up to 8 Preset Zones.

Show Zones: The Show Zones button can be toggled On or Off.
Apply: Clicking the apply button will save your zone settings.
Auto Tracking: The Auto Tracking button is used to toggle auto-tracking On or Off.
Position Correct: Ensures the main camera lens is lined up with the reference lens.
- Clicking Position Correct populates the PTZ View and Reference View with a blue cross. You can use the directional arrows to move the main lens to align with the reference lens.
Next Target: These arrow keys can be used to move between tracking subjects.
Automation Settings
Track Outside Ref. View: Allows the camera to continue tracking the subject if they leave the reference lens field of view. Can be toggled On or Off.
Tilt While Tracking: Allows the camera to tilt up and down while tracking. Can be toggled On or Off.
Zoom While Tracking: Allows the camera to zoom in or out while tracking in order to keep the subject adequately framed. Can be toggled On or Off.
Tracking Sensitivity: Determines how sensitive the sensor is to subject movement. Adjusts within values 0 to 7.
Tracking Speed: Determines how quickly the camera follows subject movement. Adjusts within values 0 to 7.
Zoom Limit: Determines how close the camera will zoom into a subject while tracking. Adjusts within values 0 to 7.
Target Lost Time: Determines how much time must pass (in seconds) before the camera performs it’s target lost action after losing a subject. Adjusts within values 0 to 7.
Target Lost Time: Determines what the camera will do when it loses a subject. Options Include:
- Return to preset 1
- Return to preset 0
- Stay in place
Gesture Control: Still in Beta: Hold arms out and hands straight up forming right angles to intiate tracking.
Automation Actions
Automation Actions are commands which you can program the camera to send, whenever a subject enters or exits a preset zone.
At the top of the menu, you can toggle the Enter Zone Action and the Exit Command On or Off.
Steps:
1. Ensure you have a preset zone in place. Then select the preset zone you would like to use from the drop-down tab.
2. Set the command protocol, choosing between TCP, UDP, HTTP GET, and HTTP POST.
3. Enter the IP Address the camera will be sending the command to.
4. Enter the HEX/URL String
5. Choose whether or not to assign a delay. The delay is measured in seconds.
6. Click Set preset to save a position you want the camera to move to when the preset zone is active.
7. Click Save.
