Image

Luminance: Adjusts within values 0 to 14.

Luminance refers to the brightness or intensity of light in the video image, independent of color. It defines how light or dark an image appears.

  • It affects how well the camera captures details in low light or overexposed scenes.
  • Adjusting luminance can help with image clarity at night or in variable lighting.

Contrast: Adjusts within values 0 to 14.

Contrast is the difference in brightness between the darkest and brightest parts of an image.

  • Higher contrast makes shadows and highlights more pronounced.
  • Lower contrast produces a flatter image with less distinction between light and dark areas.

Hue: Adjusts within values 0 to 14.

Hue refers to the actual color tone (red, green, blue, etc.) perceived in the image.

  • Adjusting hue changes the color tint of the image.
  • Used to correct color casts caused by certain lighting conditions (e.g., greenish tint from fluorescent lighting).

Saturation: Adjusts within values 0 to 14.

Saturation defines the intensity or vividness of color in the image.

  • High saturation makes colors bold and rich.
  • Low saturation makes the image look washed out or grayscale.

Sharpness: Adjusts within values 0 to 11.

Sharpness is the clarity of edges and fine details in the image.

  • Increasing sharpness emphasizes edges and texture.
  • Too much sharpness can cause noise or halos.

DRC (Dynamic Range Control): Adjusts within values 0 to 5.

DRC brightens dark areas and tones down overly bright areas to reveal more detail throughout the image.

  • Especially useful in high-contrast environments, like viewing an indoor space with a bright window.
  • Helps ensure faces and objects are visible even in difficult lighting.
